Surprisingly yes, love does thrive online. After all, what are these latest inventions and discoveries meant for if not to connect two people and keep them close. Check out the following online activities online and see if they rejuvenate your relationship, mind you both have to be tech savvy to enjoy them or else they can backfire.

  1. Live on Skype – Skype is practically a country where people live, at least virtually. Have all the fun you can and that includes, dining together, reading together, watching movies together and even sleeping together!!! On cam chats of course!
  1. There are websites that lets you mark your initials on a tree in a virtual forest, and what’s more? No one cuts it down and it stays forever.

The Beauty And Uses Of Facebook Timeline

February 10th, 2013

fbThe Crazy Addictive World Of Facebook

If you tell me you have never heard of Facebook, I am either going to believe you are lying, or from a different planet altogether. Facebook is no more a social networking media. It has completely transformed into a country where people live, eat and sleep. Quite literally! If you do not have a Facebook account, you are a little short of an outcast or considered to be thorough introvert. A Facebook account these days not only talks about your character, it also speaks a lot about your life from past to present. For example – The Facebook Timeline!

Is It Useful?

Definitely! Gone are the days when people used Facebook for personal interactions with friends and family only. These days having a Facebook account is important because it not only helps you stay in touch with close friends and family, it also is used in a professional manner. Many employers these days use your Facebook account to know more about your personality before they make a decision to hire you. It is like Facebook today is more of an informal resume that talks about your other qualities that are relevant in determining the kind of person you are, but not shown mirrored easily in your professional world.

What Is Facebook Timeline?

Facebook timeline is a new added feature in the long list of hot spots of Facebook. It lets your friends and outsiders see the important events and highlights of your life. Right from the day you were born, to the day you left high school, graduated, started working, got married, had a kid everything is out there for people to see and know you better. Imagine how much fun it would be for your high school friends to know how you have done in your life. You would enjoy it too.

Liked By The Users

Facebook timeline was instantly accepted and loved by millions of users on Facebook. After getting over the initial complication on how to customize your Facebook, which was a minor technical hiccup, something that happens with every new application of gadget that we try, the timeline has gained its deserving popularity and today a good large number of them are using it without any complains. Needless to say it was a successful stunt by Facebook.

Special Features On The Timeline

Not only can you edit and frame your life events on Facebook for people to know you better, it also serves as a walk down the memory lane. With a special cover photo feature, you can share a picture that talks about you other than your profile picture. Loved by all, the new timeline offers you a great space to share your personal stuff, professional image and a lot more. Take the basic tutorial offered by Facebook.com on their settings page and learn how to navigate between the timeline.

After two years of being released internationally, the iPhone has finally been released in China. Quite ironic, considering the fact that the iPhone is made in China. One important aspect to note however is that there is no Wifi in these iPhones, a feature that is perhaps used often by many iphone users worldwide. The iPhone in China is being released by Unicom, Apples official network provider. The price for the new iPhone in China, as quoted from Mashable, are between 4,999 yuan($730) and 6,999 yuan($1,025).

PSP Go Review: A closer look at the new Sony PSP Go

October 19th, 2009

new-psp-go-reviewThe new PSP Go is a not a replacement to the original PSP (now PSP 3000). Sony classifies it as an alternative, mainly something that is more portable, and we might add a little more expensive. Starting at $250 the PSP Go has taken on the price of the original PSP when it was first released. Sony hopes that through a tight integration with PlayStation Online as well as PS3 they can get more then a few of these consoles off the shelves.

DESIGN:

The PSP Go is a radical change from the original PSP. While it is clear that the PSP Go and the original PSP are siblings there are quite a few differences between both systems. For instance the screen is smaller then the original (although the resolution is the same). The PSP Go has a 3.8 widescreen TFT LCD display (16:9) which boasts 480 x 272 pixels. The PSP 3000 carries a 4.3 widescreen TFT LCD with 480 x 272 pixels.

The controls have been changed also. Instead of being on either side of the screen they now slide out from underneath the screen. However, they are all located in approximate locations except for the analog stick, select and start buttons which are located towards the center. The left bumper and right bumper buttons are still located at the top of the screen. But the volume, WLAN and other controls are located at the top of the device. The device also supports Bluetooth 3.0 meaning that a variety of compatible Bluetooth headsets can be paired.

Play Games for PS2 on PC using PCSX2 Emulator

December 28th, 2008

You must have played NES or SEGA games on your pc at one time another. I remember when i used to spend many hours on my pc playing Nintendo 64 games or Gameboy Advance games. And now it is possible to play games for PS2 on pc using emulator called PCSX2. There is a limitation though as Playstation 2 has much better graphics compared to gameboy advance or NES, so your computer needs to be powerful to play games at proper speed with good graphics. Here is a rough indication of the recommended specifications:

  • Windows XP or Windows Vista
  • Core 2 Duo Processor 2 Ghz or better
  • 1GB RAM (2GB for vista)
  • 512MB Graphics Card (8600GT or better)

Download Google Chrome Browser

September 3rd, 2008

Google recently announced the releasing of the beta version of their browser called Google Chrome. Google Chrome is an open-source web browser based on Apple’s Webkit Engine. It has only been released for windows so far but google intends to release the mac and linux versions soon as well. I have personally not used chrome so far, but I intend to try it out for a couple of days to see how it is. This is the very first public beta release so there are bound to be bugs and security holes. Google has however made quite an effort to enhance the security of the browser. You can read more about Google Chromes features and security protection here and here. » Read more: Download Google Chrome Browser

Send messages to other IPs using IPMessage

August 22nd, 2008

Today I will be telling you about a unique service which allows you to send messages to other people at their IP address. IPMessage.net is a free service which acts as the gateway for people to send and receive messages using their ip addresses. Basically, you write your message and send it to an IP address and if that person opens ipmessage.net, he or she will receive the message. They can then ofcourse reply to the message as well. This is quite a unique concept but I fail to really see any advantage of using it. Although I like the idea so I had to blog about it. » Read more: Send messages to other IPs using IPMessage
